We were limited to 15 attendees and had to keep to strict anit-Covid rules but it proved to be a great chance to have a chat and feel a bit more normal again, and get a bit of sewing done too of course!
Our July meeting was also subject to number restrictions but we were able to invite along some new members for a half day 'look-see'. We are really hoping that going forward we can open the meeting to all members, old and new, albeit with a cleaning regime and care taken.
Most members brought along some hand sewing and we were able to have a Show and Tell of some of the items we'd been working on in lockdown. Some are not quite finished so we will be seeing them on future blogs but we did get some finished items too!
Carol E has really been busy finishing WIP's during lockdown and was particularly pleased to show us her 'log-cabin in a weekend' quilt that had actually taken about 20 years to complete - well worth the effort though! Gail had completed a small sampler quilt begun a couple of years ago, which looked lovely. Pat had managed to complete 2 beautiful quilts made from 'bits and pieces of fabric'. Both looked spectacular, Dresden Plates and Hexies!
