During our break for lunch we had our Show and Tell, again a lovely variety of items ladies had been working on.
We don't have a meeting in August so we next get together September 28th for our workshop with Hilary Walsh.

Another interesting day at our July meeting. Fiona from The Cotton Reel in Worcester gave a workshop using ALFIE's feet rulers and everyone enjoyed practising with the different quilting patterns you can achieve. The workshop involved about half the group, the rest enjoyed sitting and sewing and generally chatting! During our break for lunch we had our Show and Tell, again a lovely variety of items ladies had been working on. Beryl had a very vibrant 9 patch quilt to show us plus a beautiful star quilt in a lovely green colour. Carol E showed us her completed stunning EasyStack Christmas quilt; this was started at a Paula Doyle Workshop at the Nottingham AGM in April, so well done in getting it completed in plenty of time for Xmas! Gail had 2 baby quilts to show us while Gwynedd had completed not 1 but 2 boro bags from our workshop in April. Gwyneth showed us her mini kimono quilt (which some of you may have seen on the miniature quilt stand at FoQ). Norma T has made some incubator covers for the SCBU at Royal Gwent, this is one of the charities our group supports (details on our Charity Initiatives page). Tessa showed us a good idea for using up scraps - make a small zipped pouch!
