Lots of members attended and we had a busy day.
The actual AGM was our first activity. Our committee members can only serve for 3 years so we were sorry to see Carol, our chairman, having to leave the post after serving her term. What a wonderful job she has done but we're sure Sam, our new chairman will continue the good work!
Our treasurer, George presented his report. Rising costs mean our yearly membership will now be £25. The librarian reported that we have acquired new books which can be lent out to members while our programme secretary went through our upcoming events for 2015.
Congratulations to June on entering the winning quilt (bottom right) and here she is being presented with her prize by Sam.
Helen from Tenovus gave us a few minutes talk on the wonderful facilities that Tenovus provides for cancer sufferers in South Wales including mobile chemo treatment centres and 'Man Vans' . She thanked the members for their hard work in producing the quilt and also in selling tickets which totalled in excess of £1800.
Details of all the winners are on our 2014 raffle page.
