Once more hope you are all staying safe and well and all the best for 2021. We did have some sad news this week that long term member Diana Brockway has passed away (not Covid related apparently). Diana has been an inspiration to us all, you can see why she was so special if you look at her work under the 'Diana Brockway' tab on the left.
We had a lovely Xmas Zoom get-together on 12th December and enjoyed making some Danish folded stars together (some more successfully then others, including me, the demonstrator, but I got there eventually - top left). Gwynnedd managed 2 eight pointed stars but also a 4 pointed (still trying to work out how you managed that Gwynedd !). Jill made a lovely Xmas fabric star and Steph managed 4, including that black and white one to match Ed's quilt.
Going down, from left to right: Beryl's baby quilt for a neighbours grandchild. Carol's Japanese backpack from a kit purchased at FOQ 2019. Carol's mini-quilt for daughter's boyfriend and her London quilt which caused much agonising but looks great. Binky the Elf by Elaine for grandaughter Edith, from kit by liberty-bell.co.uk puchased at Malvern 2019. Notebooks with scrap fabric covers - stocking fillers by Elaine. Bag for a friend by Gail and cushion cover (back and front) for daughter Louise in USA. Gail also made the Santa table toppers and mitten advent calendar, much loved by Ralph. Gaynor made the lovely Sunbonnet Sue. Gwynedd has been very busy making cushion covers, lovely fabric to turn into a zipped pouch and toucan cards and wedding card. Liz Beech made the heart cushion and Pat has been very busy with her Red House Maor quilt which became a Covid Quilt with blocks for members of the family (story will be in DP issue 88).
Gwyneth has made a lovley quilt and cushion for grandson Rowan.
I'm sure there are other makes out there so please do send me any items for the continuation of the blog .....
